Troubleshooting, reading schematics, and utilizing technical manuals will be integral parts of your toolkit as you gain expertise in both preventive and corrective maintenance. The Associate in Occupational Science (AOS) degree program in Trades Leadership with a specialization inIndustrial Maintenance Technology offers training in the fundamental concepts of electrical and mechanical
equipment and components that comprise various industrial systems. Students will learn how to identify
machinery, understand the theory of operation, and conduct maintenance on equipment and components contained
in various electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Students will use their attained knowledge of troubleshooting techniques, schematics, blueprints, and technical manual interpretation to conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment. Soft-skill applications will be included to prepare students for employment.
The Trades Leadership course work provides students with a strong foundation in customer service,
communications skills, employee relations, inventory management, as well as critical thinking skills.

- Students attend class four (4) days per week on various schedules.
- Program length is approximately 18 months (including breaks and holidays) – all schedules.
- At the successful completion of this program, the student will receive a Associate of Occupational Science in Trades Leadership with Specialization in Industrial Maintenance Technology.
