How does VIQTORY select their Military Friendly® schools?

VIQTORY Media, the publisher of G.I. Jobs®, STEM JobsSM and Military Spouse, selects Military Friendly® institutionsusing methodology within 6 different categories and input from an advisory council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Schools earning the Military Friendly® School designation are evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey.

How are institutions rated?

Final ratings are determined by combining the school’s survey scores with the assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for:

  • Graduation
  • Job Placement
  • Loan Repayment
  • Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer)
  • Loan Default rates for all students, specifically student veterans
  • Student Retention

How many schools participate each year?
