Certification Exams

Recertification

ASE certification is valid for five years. To ensure that certified professionals stay up to date with the latest technologies and repair techniques, ASE requires recertification exams to be taken periodically.

How do I prepare to take ASE certification exams?

ATI’s Automotive Technology program is based on ASE standards and align with the 9 Certifications available for Automobile and Light Truck Repair. Each time you finish courses related to ASE Certifications, email ASE@auto.edu to gain access to specific preparation modules.

Once you are ready, you can take a practice test on campus. Achieve an 90% or better on the practice test and ATI will pay for your actual ASE Certification exam.

How do I become a Master Certified Technican?

Individuals who pass tests A1 – A8 and meet the 1 year work experience requirement are recognized as ASE-Certified Master Automobile Technicians! ATI will pay for your ASE Certification.
